Have you ever read a book you really enjoyed but were disappointed by the ending?
The sentence I just read to you sure seems like a lousy ending to the Easter story but this is how it ends in the Gospel of Mark — with no appearance of the risen Christ – no encounters with Jesus after his death – no sharing of the good news. Just the women running away from an empty tomb terrorized and afraid.
