The Thorn in the Flesh
Preacher’s Note: I’ve never had so many requests for a sermon. Wow. I believe this is not due to any masterful writing or preaching, but because we as God’s people need so desperately a theology of the cross when it comes to the reality of suffering. I have heard so much theology of glory lately (i.e. “I prayed for it and it happened!”) that I felt nudged to preach this truth: His grace is sufficient and his power is made perfect in weakness.
