ARE WE THERE YET?
How many times have you heard THAT from the back seat during a long car ride? Any journey worth taking and any destination worth arriving at usually involves a time of getting there.
Today’s reading from Revelation gives us a picture of the destination for believers in Christ. And it is a beautiful one – a new heaven and a new earth – a holy city looking like a beautifully dressed bride – no tears, no death, no crying, no pain – springs of living waters – everything new. Who isn’t looking forward to all the things promised to us when Jesus comes again to usher in this new world? When you belong to Christ, there is definitely a future to look forward to.
